I have experienced compassion that I have not experienced before, until meeting Natalie R. I’ve witnessed her loving all residents individually and celebrating their lives each and every day. Her commitment to this facility is the difference! I would recommend this facility to anyone. Ask for Natalie and you will not be disappointed.
I transferred my dear, 91-year old cousin to the Rio in Texas City 2 weeks ago. All the arrangements, from referral to the move, were accomplished in just one week, including a COVID tes for my cousint. The hospice social worker highly recommended the Rio, out of all the facilities where she works, saying it was the best. Was she ever right! Natalie Robertson, not only coordinated the logistics efficiently, but she also wanted to know about my cousin personally. I am her only relative, and I live in a different state, so everything could have been much more difficult, but all went smoothly. COVID protocols and restrictions prevented Natalie from meeting Flora personally, prior to admission. After we talked, I felt like she knew me as well as the future patient. My cousin lived in her home for over 40 years, and I was expecting a difficult transition, but Natalie and the Rio team set up her room to replicate her bedroom at home, including wall paintings and photo albums and a favorite Longhorn blanket. Flora settled in immediately, and I’m getting daily communication about her mental and physical status. I do not yet know the names of all the nurses and aides, but want to acknowledge the uniformly excellent care they have provided. The Rio shattered my notions about nursing homes; it is home.
Both my Mom and my Aunt were in hospice care here and we have nothing but good things to say about the staff. They are caring and try to take care of any needs the patient may have as soon as possible.
My father was transferred to The Rio for rehab after a major car accident which left him with a very serious ankle fracture. The staff is friendly and enthusiastic and immediately made it clear that they were on “Team Daddy!”. Two of the administrators, Natalie and Dexter, stayed late to greet my father and our family when we arrived from the hospital. The facility is beautiful and immaculate. The therapy gym looks like an upscale fitness center. I am thoroughly impressed!
My mom loves being at The Rio! The staff go above and beyond to meet her needs, check on her often and make sure she is happy and well! Mom loves the staff and doesn’t want to leave! They communicate with our family about anything pertaining to our Mom in a timely manner. I highly recommend The Rio for rehabilitation or permanent long-term care!
Always a friendly atmosphere! Caring and loving is how I would describe Natalie Robertson. Always ready to help in all situations even if it is not her responsibility. I have also heard about her from some members of the Elks Club of which I am a member and their comments were my exact sentiments. I would highly recommend the facility.
The staff was friendly, the facility was clean and I would recommend it to others.
Best experience I have ever had! They go above and beyond to meet my needs! Would recommend them to anyone who wants to be treated the right way.
Absolutely loved the Rio! The therapy department is amazing and the CNAs exemplify true compassion for their patients by providing quality care and always going the extra mile to provide the patient with what they need.
We had wonderful care at the Rio for my parents who were in rehab after a fall. I can’t speak highly enough of the fabulous team of physical and occupational therapists that got my parents strong enough to return home. Thank you to the entire Rio staff!
I wanted to give a big thanks to everyone at The Rio at Mainland Center for all of your hard work and time you put in to each of your patients. It was a hard transition to get my mother in with her insurance company fighting us. We wouldn’t have been able to get my mother into your fantastic facility if it wasn’t for the help of Natalie Robertson. Thank you!
My father passed away last year, but I wanted to write a review to show my family’s appreciation for all that ya’ll did to make him feel like a person not a number during his last few months.
Clean facility, amazing staff, and the best therapy department around!!
Great place! Very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
My grandmother broke her hip and had a hip replacement. She needed rehab to learn how to walk again. My grandmother has been treated very well. She has been treated with the dignity and respect she deserves. Natalie who is the assistant administrator has been so welcoming and went out of her way to pop in and check on grandma and bring her flowers. She is easy to contact and answers a phone call at any hour directing you to the right person. To the family she always walks out and says hello greeted with a hug. The facility has bingo and other events that they host for the residents and family. My grandmother is happy which makes us happy. Thank y’all for making this transition a good one.
Always greeted with a smile and a friendly hello. Therapy is great and the facility clean. Everyone goes out of their way to help and accommodate my loved one’s needs. I couldn’t have picked a better place. Would definitely recommend to others.
My grandmother has resided there for 1.5 yrs and loves it. She is happy, content, and our family is very pleased with her care. Natalie R. is the absolute BEST & goes over & beyond the spectrum to ensure that your loved one is happy & our family is satisfied with her care. With any facility, you are their advocate & you still have to visit & make sure all is well with them. Have we had a few concerns, Yes! Did we address them, Yes! Were they taken care of promptly, Yes! The Rio is the best place for my grandmother & our family; and as for Natalie, she could run that place because she is that efficient and cares deeply for everyone there.
